CONFIRMED: Ahan Shetty to make his Bollywood debut with remake of Telugu hit RX 100

It was announced in November 2016 that Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty will be making his much-awaited Bollywood debut under Sajid Nadiadwala’s production banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Now amidst rumours of Ahan likely to be launched in the remake of Telugu hit RX 100, Sajid has finally confirmed the same in an interview with a leading daily.

Speaking on the film for the first time, the producer said, "I have acquired the remake rights of RX 100 and it will be Ahan's launch vehicle. The movie will release in May 2019. We chose the drama because it has gained a cult status among the youth. I know of youngsters who have watched the movie 10 times."

For the unversed, RX 100 revolved around Karthikeya and his girlfriend Indu and explored how their relationship takes a dramatic turn when they reveal about their romance to their families. It is said that the Hindi remake will have a bold subject and storyline to depict a tale of love, sex, and lust.

Meanwhile, it is interesting to note that Suniel was expected to make his Bollywood debut with Sajid's production, Waqt Hamara Hai (1993) and now Ahan will be making his debut under his banner. "It's an interesting coincidence that I got to launch Suniel and now, his son too," the producer added. When further asked if there's any truth about Milan Luthria directing the film, Sajid stated, "We are in talks with some directors, but have not decided on one yet."

Now with Ahan on-board, we will have to wait for further announcements on the director and the cast.
