TOH trailer launch: Amitabh, Aamir open up on Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar controversy

Actress Tanushree Dutta has grabbed a lot of attention lately after she opened up on the harassment that she was subjected to on the sets of the 2008 film Horn Ok Pleassss. She went on to accuse Nana Patekar of touching her inappropriately in an intimate dance step and claimed that choreographer Ganesh Acharya teamed up against her as well.

While the Bollywood industry has refrained by speaking up on the issue, actors Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan talked about the ongoing controversy at the trailer launch event of their upcoming film, Thugs of Hindostan. When Aamir was quizzed about it, he said, "I think without knowing the veracity of something or the details of something, I don’t think I can comment, it’s not right for me." He further added that whenever something like this does happen, it’s really sad and suggested that "if this has happened or not is for people to investigate."

Meanwhile, Big B refused to comment on the matter and mentioned, "Naa toh mera naam Tanushree hai aur naa hee Nana Patekar, kaise uttar do aapko iss sawal ka (Neither my name is Tanushree Dutta nor Nana Patekar so I cannot comment on it)."

For the unversed, Nana is yet to comment on the brewing controversy but Ganesh had recently refuted Tanushree's claims by saying that nothing of that sort happened on the sets of the film.

The trailer of the much-anticipated Thugs of Hindostan was launched today, September 27 on the occasion of Yash Chopra’s 86th birth anniversary.
