Helicopter Eela: Kajol recreates 90’s super hit Ruk Ruk Ruk for her film

Ahead of the release of Kajol’s upcoming project Helicopter Eela, a new song from the film, titled Ruk Ruk Ruk, was announced on Thursday. The song is a reworked version of the superhit track from 1994’s Vijaypath, which cast Tabu and Ajay Devgn in the principal roles. For Helicopter Eela, the song has been modified by musician Raghav Sachar while Palomi has provided the vocals.

Kajol, who has been cast as an aspiring singer and a single mother in the film, will be seen grooving to the peppy song. In a still that has been released from the new version of Ruk Ruk Ruk, Kajol, pretty in a white shirt and denims, strikes a pose and we really do not need to elaborate on the fact that we cannot wait for the song already. Ruk Ruk Ruk will be launched on September 25.

While speaking to a leading daily about Ruk Ruk Ruk 2.0, Raghav said that he has retained the melody of the super hit song, which was composed by Anu Malik.
“We have updated the song with new rap portions that make it more conversational. Since Eela’s character is very expressive, it adds a personal touch to the song,” Raghav told the daily.

Directed by Pradeep Sarkar, Helicopter Eela co-stars Riddhi Sen and has been produced by Jayantilal Gada. The film is scheduled to release on October 12.
