Here's what Alia Bhatt's mother Soni Razdan has to say about Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor's and Alia Bhatt’s alleged relationship has been the talk of the town lately. Ever since the two popular young actors started shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra in Bulgaria, speculations surrounding their budding romance served as fodder for several gossip columns. But more importantly, it’s the actors and their families, who have fueled them with their statements. Now after Rishi Kapoor and Mahesh Bhatt, Alia’s mother Soni Razdan has also finally opened up about her daughter’s relationship with Ranbir.

The veteran actress was recently prodded about the rumours surrounding Alia’s relationship and if she has spoken about it to her daughter. Reacting to it, Soni told a leading daily, “I have a very good relationship with my daughter. I don’t go by what rumours say; I talk to her directly. We have had discussions on what’s going on or not going on in her life,” and further added, “I don’t discuss these things with anybody. (Laughs) Of course, we know Ranbir very well.”

Meanwhile, Ranbir’s father Rishi Kapoor had confessed in a recent interview that he and his wife Neetu Kapoor like Alia. On the other hand, Ranbir too had met Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt, and the veteran filmmaker claimed that he liked the young heartthrob. Now when Soni was asked about what she thinks of her daughter’s rumoured boyfriend, she said, “Ranbir is a lovely, lovely boy.”

Well, now that the couple’s parents have approved of their kids’ choices and given a nod to the relationship, are we going to hear wedding bells soon? After all, 2018 is perhaps the year of Bollywood weddings and just thinking of Ranbir and Alia getting married is enough to make their fans dewy-eyed.

On the work front, Alia will be next seen in Karan Johar’s Kalank opposite Varun Dhawan and Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy opposite Ranveer Singh. Ranbir will feature in Yash Raj Films’ Shamshera. Their film Brahmastra, also starring Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy, will be releasing in 2019.
