Panga director Ashwiny Tiwari reacts to rumours about ‘no interference’ clause with Kangana

Kangana Ranaut and director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari are collaborating for a sports drama, titled Panga. The actress stars as a kabaddi player in the film, which spans across her journey from her teenage to marriage. Ever since its announcement, the film has been grabbing a lot of attention for all the right reasons. However, it was recently speculated that even before the film went on floors, Ashwiny had made Kangana sign a 'no interference clause', considering the recent Manikarnika controversy.

Now Ashwiny finally opened up on the rumours surrounding the clause and revealed that the reports floating around are false and baseless. Speaking about it, the director said, "The reason we tell stories and create characters is to inspire humankind and make people laugh and cry. As directors and actors, our happiness is your appreciation. For me, Panga is a story which I wanted to tell. A story very close to my heart and I could see only Kangana bringing life to the character. I request everyone not to be judgemental and together allow me to breathe the air of oneness like the support and love you have given me for my previous films."

She further added that a good film sees the ray of hope only because of the love and appreciation by the audience and with Panga, the team wishes to tell only stories of love.

For the uninitiated, this isn't the first time that Kangana has found herself in trouble for such matters. Earlier too, she was speculated to have interfered with the working of Hansal Mehta and Vishal Bharadwaj, who helmed Simran and Rangoon respectively. Moreover, her recent fall-out with Sonu Sood after she took the reigns of Manikarnika in her hands, is not unknown.

Meanwhile, with Ashwini dismissing the recent reports, Kangana's sister Rangoli Chandel applauded her and said that her sister deserves a director like her.
