Varun Dhawan and dad David Dhawan to reunite to take No.1 series forward

Varun Dhawan first collaborated with his father, acclaimed director David Dhawan in Main Tera Hero (2014) in which he shared screen space with Ileana D’Cruz and Nargis Fakhri. Last year, the father-son jodi returned with a smashing hit in the form of Judwaa 2 that was a remake of the 1997 hit action-comedy starring Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Rambha. For the unversed, both Judwaas were directed by David himself. Now, as reported by a leading daily, the Dhawans are teaming up yet again for a third comedy film which is currently in the scripting stage and will most probably roll out next year. Apparently, the comedy film will take the No.1 series helmed by Dhawan Sr. forward.

The daily reported, “Impressed with Varun’s performance in one of his upcoming films, David wanted to collaborate with his son again for an out-and-out comedy for which he has already begun pre-production and frequent meetings with technicians. However, this one isn’t a remake like Judwaa 2 but an original script that will revive David’s No 1 series.” The 31-year-old actor is also keen to reunite with his dad. They are looking forward to creating a hattrick at the box office as their first two collaborations were blockbusters.
