Priyanka-Nick engagement: The actress danced to Desi Girl at her bash, reveals a guest

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas made their relationship official on August 18 in a traditional roka ceremony followed by an engagement bash, which was a close-knit affair. With over a week since the ceremony, the netizens cannot stop raving about the footage and inside pictures from the festivities.

Interestingly, a couple who hails from Priyanka's hometown Bareilly, also attended the function and has now revealed some fascinating details about the roka. In an interaction with a leading daily, an entrepreneur named Raj Shekhar Juneja stated, "Mimi (Priyanka’s nickname) looked gorgeous on her roka, and it felt great to be a part of the celebrations. In fact, we even stayed at Priyanka’s residence with the Chopra and Jonas family. It was a memorable stay of three days, where discussions around Bareilly kept happening."

On the other hand, Raj's wife Urvashi said, "Nick’s parents, Kevin Jonas Sr and Denise Jonas, are quite religious and God-fearing people. They happily accepted the idea of roka and puja, and even donned traditional attire for the same. During the roka, Kevin recited a poem for Priyanka and Nick. Priyanka then danced to Desi Girl at her engagement bash, which was a treat to watch."

When prodded about PeeCee's wedding date, Raj replied by saying that although family wants the actress to get married soon, the focus currently is on Nick’s brother, Joe Jonas, who is getting married next month. "Priyanka and Nick are yet to finalize their wedding date, but Mimi is looking forward to being a desi bride," he added.

Well, we certainly cannot wait for an official wedding announcement from the much-in-love couple.

On the work front, Priyanka is currently busy shooting for Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink, which also features Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.
