Priyanka Chopra’s and Nick Jonas’ engagement has been the favourite subject of the internet ever since the couple formalized their relationship on August 18. Folks, although, are primarily interested in footage and inside pictures from the festivities but the age gap between Priyanka and Nick also appears to be a constant botheration. Why? Because social media doesn’t really approve of progression – clearly because people aren’t interested in concentrating on the grave matters of the society, but would rather rack their brains over topics that shouldn’t even concern them, to say the least.
Priyanka getting engaged to someone eleven years younger than her has troubled the internet but appears that millennials have completely overruled the prevalence of child marriage in India – a fact that designer Abu Jani pointed out through a post on Instagram. In most of the rural areas, minor girls are married off to older men but the age difference – in cases as such – doesn’t seem like a matter of concern as does vis-à-vis a celebrity.

Abu’s post features a picture of a very young bride juxtaposed with Priyanka and Nick’s photograph. “The age gap Indians should worry about” as opposed to “The age gap Indians worry about” is what the caption reads as on the post respectively. Well, that’s the truth.
The designer is being applauded by a section of his Instagram family as several resonated with his thought. “This is so true, ppl ignore child marriages nd worry abt celeb couples age gap,” said one user while another praised Abu for voicing his opinion. “Thanks for some sane ppl who actually see the social injustice and aren’t afraid to voice it! @abujani1,” read another comment on Abu’s post.

In fact, not that the age gap factor is something new in the entertainment industry. Consider Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan actually – both are ten years apart but are a classic example of a bonafide celebrity couple. The difference, in between, Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds is eleven years as well. Or for that matter, Milind Soman, 52, married Ankita Konwar, 27. Enough said, already, guys. But aren’t these examples a justification of the fact that age is just a number in love?
Soon after pictures from her roka surfaced online, the 36-year-old actress has been trolled enough but she really doesn’t care folks. So, in case you are still at it, might as well consider, getting over it.

Priyanka and Nick, 25, met at the Met Gala in 2017 while reports suggest that both started dating a couple of months ago. Nick, as per media reports, proposed to Priyanka on her birthday on July 18 in London.
Workwise, Priyanka is currently busy with Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink, co-starring Farhan Akhtar.
