Do you know what Helicopter Eela means? Well, allow Kajol to explain

The title of Kajol’s new film Helicopter Eela is interesting, isn’t it? Her fans are eagerly waiting to watch the movie while most are also curious to understand the significance of the name of the Pradeep Sarkar-directed film. Fret not, folks. Kajol did the honours by answering the question during an interview with a leading entertainment website and said that the title Helicopter Eela has been derived from a particular hashtag.

"Helicopter Eela comes from a hashtag helicopter mom. Which is basically what an Indian mother has always been - over possessive and stalkerish,” Kajol told the entertainment website.

In Helicopter Eela, Kajol has been cast as a single mother to a son, and someone who aspires to fulfill her dream of completing education and pursuing music. Riddhi Sen stars as her son while the 44-year-old actress added during her interview that she could relate to her character in the film quite well.

"I don't think Indian mothers are going to change very much. But yes, Eela is just that little bit more. The character is relatable. I loved the concept of the story and the fact that it spoke about a relationship between a single mother and her son," Kajol said.

Considering the fact that Helicopter Eela centers around modern-day parenting, Kajol has also spoken about her relationship with her children in previous interviews. Kajol and her husband, actor Ajay Devgn parent two children - daughter Nysa and son Yug. While speaking to an agency earlier this month, Kajol had said that Ajay took care of Nysa and Yug when she was busy shooting.

Written by Mitesh Shah, Helicopter Eela is co-produced by Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada of Pen India Ltd. The film is scheduled to release on September 7.
