Rajkummar Rao to address National Police Academy as part of Independence Day celebrations

Rajkummar Rao has been the talk of the town for his brilliant performances in films and his ability to fit into any role. He has also been part of films that have a social message embedded in it. Keeping this in mind, the actor has been invited to address the National Police Academy in Hyderabad as part of its Independence Day celebrations. Rajkummar, who is juggling the shoot of Ekta Kapoor’s Mental Hai Kya opposite Kangana Ranaut and promotions of his forthcoming horror-comedy Stree with Shraddha Kapoor, has taken a day off to fly to Hyderabad on August 18 for the event.

A leading daily reported that the actor wants to imbibe “the police force's dedication towards their duty”. The actor told the daily, “I strongly believe that our cops work tirelessly for the citizens, and we feel safe and protected under their supervision. As civilized citizens, we have to be equally responsible towards the society that we are part of, and help cops to make the country a better place to live in.”

The actor hopes to thank them for their services during his forthcoming interaction. “What motivates me the most about our men in uniform is their honesty and dedication towards their duty, not to forget the way they conduct their disciplined lifestyle.
