Don't get much time to spend with my husband; Sui Dhaaga made me feel domesticated: Ansuhka

YRF’s latest film, Sui Dhaaga: Made in India, has been grabbing a lot of attention time lately and pairs Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan onscreen for the first time. Directed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Maneesh Sharma, the film is a tribute to Indian handlooms and craftsmanship.

Anushka and Varun launched the trailer of the much-anticipated film today. The actors added on to the brightness as they arrived for the launch and spoke about the film and their characters. While Anushka (Mamta) will be seen as an embroiderer, her husband Varun (Mauji) will be seen as a tailor.

When Anushka was asked about living a domesticated life in Sui Dhaaga unlike in her real life, she replied, "Sharat gave me a domestic environment, the feeling of getting married and being at home, which I never got it before. After getting married, I don't even get that much time to spend with my husband (Virat Kohli)." She further added, "But the fact that, in this film to stay in that world of domestic set-up, to be in the kitchen, I really got to live in a homely atmosphere. So thank you Sharat. The moment I got married, they got me to Sui Dhaaga. It was literally like that."

While Anushka was speaking, Varun jumped in between to reveal how he had qualms since he did not know how to play and behave like a married man onscreen.

Interestingly, the recently released trailer has subtle touches of humour. However, both Anushka and Varun bring out extreme emotions, making us believe in them as Mauji and Mamta. The trailer is truly gripping and now we’re aiting for the film which we’re sure will be nothing but a pleasant ride.

The film, which is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy and government’s Made in India campaign, releases on September 28, 2018.
