Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi: Sonakshi Sinha talks about recreating Chin Chin Chu song

Director Mudassar Aziz is back to entertain us with the sequel of his 2016 hit film, Happy Bhag Jayegi. Titled Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, the film has an ensemble cast, including Sonakshi Sinha, Diana Penty, Jimmy Sheirgill, Jassie Gill, Ali Fazal and Piyush Mishra. delightful.

On a rather interesting note, the lead actress Sonakshi, who made her singing debut with the Aaj Mood Ishqholic hai in 2017's Noor, has lent her voice for yet another song. However, it is not an original composition but a remake of Geeta Dutt's 1958 song Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu from Howrah Bridge. Since Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi has a lot of Chinese elements such as its language, culture and characters, the makers were keen to recreate one of the most unforgettable Bollywood songs inspired by China.

As per a report in a leading daily, the song is an ode to Helen and features a fun and colourful performance featuring Chinese fans, oriental dancers. Composed by Sohail Sen, the song is sung by Sonakshi and Jassie Gill and it will be out tomorrow, August 10.

Talking about the song, the actress told the daily, "It is indeed a privilege to dance on a song featuring Helen Aunty, she is a class apart. So, I cannot even think of copying her, all I did was enjoy myself to the peppiest song of golden era. I love how Mudassar and Sohail Sen have added Punjabi tadka to the song and making it a very happy go lucky track."

We just cannot wait to witness Sonakshi and Jassie in the reprised version.

For the unversed, the previous film Happy Bhag Jayegi had Diana runaway just before she ties the knot with Jimmy.
