Kangana Ranaut terms cow lynching as a 'sad state of affair', slams so-called liberals

Bollywood actress with India’s popular spiritual leader and mystic, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev at a recent event in the capital city. The two spoke on various things including moksha, country values, liberals, politics, what has spirituality given us, people of India, among others. But it was Kangana's criticism of the so-called liberals and the rising incidents of cow lynching that caught everyone's attention.

While trying to get a clarity on ‘To Be Or Not To Be’, Kangana stressed on the need to protect animals and termed the lynching of people in the name of cows as a "sad state of affair." The incidents of lynching in the country on suspicions of either cow smuggling or consuming beef are on a rise. When asked about it, she told the media, "You feel conflicted. You want to save the animals but when the lynching happens, you feel heartbroken at what's going on. You feel this is wrong."

She further revealed that a scene featuring her in upcoming film Manikarnika was changed when the crew discussed that her character saving a calf would make the team appear like cow savers, which, of course, they won’t like. "When such a prejudice thrives, as a person you feel very protective of who you are and what your values are, and you want to save all animals and you definitely want to save the cows because the prejudice is really agonizing. But (then) lynching for cows takes place and you look like an idiot," she added.

The actress also slammed the so-called liberals for accepting people "in their group" if "you hate the same person they do". She also claimed that it is these liberals that are the first ones to point fingers but don't offer many solutions.

Kangana concluded the conversation by saying that the country needs a definite direction to go into rather than getting stuck into the unfortunate loop to be or not to be.
