No bad blood between Priyanka and Bhansali; the actress wasn't offered such film!


Anything that Priyanka Chopra does become front-page news. Her exit from Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat opposite Salman Khan became a hot topic especially because Zafar sent a cryptic tweet that started the engagement rumours of the actress with her American boyfriend singer-actor Nick Jonas. In the wake of these rumours which was confirmed by leading entertainment portal news also came in that Priyanka has opted out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film as well. However, now we have got confirmation that it isn’t so.

It was reported that PeeCee had opted out of Bhansali’s film on female gangster Gangubai Kothewali as well and now the filmmaker is no longer planning to go ahead with the film. However, the official statement from the filmmaker's team is out which reads as, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali has a lot of love and regard for Priyanka Chopra, however, no such film has been discussed". So it was all mere speculation and no love lost between the actress and the filmmaker.

Bhansali and Priyanka have worked together in Bajirao Mastani as well as Mary Kom and PeeCee even did a special dance number for his film Goliyon Ki Rasleela-RamLeela.

Meanwhile, Priyanka has gone ahead and signed her fourth Hollywood project opposite Chris Pratt. The film titled Cowboy Ninja Viking is a highly anticipated project for which many Hollywood actresses were vying, but Priyanka nailed the part after a chemistry test done with Chris went extremely well. She has also finished shooting for her Hollywood film Isn’t It Romantic? starring Rebel Wilson and Liam Hemsworth.

Priyanka will also be seen in Shonali Bose’s next directorial venture titled The Sky is Pink with Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. The film is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, an author and motivational speaker. Zaira will be playing the role of Aisha whereas Farhan and Priyanka will be essaying the role of her parents.
