Priyanka Chopra: I am not running for the Office, I don’t think I need to give explanations

Priyanka Chopra is back in the country. The actress attended an interactive session as she landed back here. At the same event, she also made it a point to shush all those keen to ask her about her rumoured engagement/ wedding with American singer, Nick Jonas.

The actress gave a rather strict reply and said that her personal life is not for "public consumption". The actress said, "My personal life is not for public consumption. 90 percent of my life is for public consumption but 10 percent is for me. I am a girl and I have the right to keep that to myself. My family, friendship, my relationships are things I don’t think I need to defend or explain it to anyone. I am not running for the Office, so I don’t think I need to give explanations".

This comes as a surprise since Priyanka has always been quite soft spoken when it came to address the media. She has always maintained that she would tell the world whenever she would find the right man for herself.

The actress is in the country to start shooting for her next Hindi film, The Sky Is Pink. It has been directed by Shonali Bose and also features Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim in pivotal roles. The film is based on Aisha Chaudhary's book, titled My Little Epiphanies.

Apart from that, Priyanka has also got a Hollywood film from Universal Pictures, titled Cowboy Ninja Viking, with the Guardians of Galaxy star, Chris Pratt.
