Ever since Priyanka Chopra left Salman Khan's upcoming, Bharat, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, several conjectures about her exit were being made. One of the most obvious been her rumoured engagement to American singer, Nick Jonas. Reports also suggested that PC walked out of the film because of remuneration issues.
All said and done, Katrina Kaif played the saviour and came on board for the team. However, seems like things are still little haywire between Salman and Priyanka. The two have been good friends and none of them showed any hard feelings for each other after the entire hullabaloo... until recently.
An entertainment portal reports that Salman gave a cold shoulder to Priyanka's mom, Dr Madhu Chopra, at the recently happened Manish Malhotra's fashion show. The Bharat couple -- Salman and Katrina walked the ramp as the showstoppers for the designer and mommy Chopra was one of the guests at the show.
If the sources of the portal are anything to go by, then neither Salman nor Katrina entertained the presence of Dr Chopra. The reports says, "Madhu Chopra reached the venue at 9.30 pm and went backstage to congratulate Manish for his show. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif were right there prepping for their impending walk. However, the moment the superstar saw Chopra approach, he turned away and began talking to the actress. In fact, even Katrina didn't acknowledge her presence".
This is little hard to believe considering neither of the two stars would make things so obvious by acting immature at an event. Earlier, Salman's father, Salim Khan had clarified that nobody is upset with Priyanka over her sudden decision. He said "koi bhi a jayega" (anybody would replace her in the film) and explained, "It's okay whatever happened. Priyanka is not doing Bharat, let her be. Such things happen in our industry - sometimes they happen for date issues, or the role, or even the money aspect. Aur kabhi aadmi ki kuch apni majbooriyan hoti hai. We are not upset with Priyanka. Salman Khan is also not upset".
