Saif Ali Khan refutes rumours of rift with Nikkhil Advani over Baazaar's release

Saif Ali Khan starrer Baazaar has been in the pipeline for quite some time now. The film which is directed by  Gauravv K. Chawla and written by Nikkhil Advani, Aseem Arora and Parveez Sheikh is set in the backdrop of the stock market and deals with money, power and business. The film was supposed to release in April 2018 but after the makers decided to push the film’s release and since then there has been no progress on the project.

It was reported earlier that Nikkhil who is producing the film felt that there was a need to re-edit the film and after having discussions with Saif and director Gauravv he had started working on the edit himself. This apparently created a rift between Nikkhil and Saif.  However, the official statement states, “The rumours floating are ridiculous. Everyone is excited about the film Bazaar and the way it's shaped up. There was no argument whatsoever as Nikkhil Advani and Saif Ali Khan are friends and share a great equation over the years."

On the work front, Saif has been reaping accolades for his Netflix original series Sacred Games which is based on Vikram Chandra’s best-selling novel of the same name. The series also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kubra Sait, Rajshri Deshpande and Radhika Apte. Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane have co-directed the series which is getting appreciation and acclaim from the audience as well as the critics.

Saif will also be seen portraying the role of a Naga Sadhu in Navdeep Singh’s film Hunter in which he will also be seen wielding a sword. Speaking about his role in Hunter, Saif had previously told a leading daily, “It’s my most ambitious project to date. I don’t think I have been part of a film that has been made on this scale.”
