Rajkummar's and Nargis’s '5 Weddings' all set to be screened at Indian Film Festival Melbourne

5 Weddings starrer Rajkummar Rao & Nargis Fakhri is all set to be screened at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne which kick starts on Aug 10, 2018. The movie is set around an American journalist played by Nargis who is sent to cover the traditions of Indian weddings against her liking for the country, but once she reaches India, she finds it intriguing how different the country is compared to her stereotypical imagination.

She gets inquisitive when she is stopped by a local police guide played by Rajkummar to interview a bunch of transgender women who come to sing at the wedding. The story takes on a roller coaster ride between Nargis Fakhri and Rajkummar Rao to churn out a hearty story.

The film has been set to release in September but before that, it's going to be screened in the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne where director Namrata Singh Gujral would be a panellist at the event talking about how East meets West which would focus on the fusion of cinema cultures. The panel will be moderated by Indian Film Critic Rajeev Masand and includes actors Freida Pinto, Ali Fazal and producer Tabrez Noorani in the panel.
