Double Trouble: Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi ft. Sonakshi Sinha-Diana Penty is madness galore

If 2006's hit film Happy Bhag Jayegi was anything - it was delightful! Director Mudassar Aziz is back at doing what he does best, this time in partnership with Eros International and producer Aanand L Rai. Adding names like Sonakshi Sinha, Diana Penty, Jimmy Sheirgill, Jassie Gill, Ali Fazal and Piyush Mishra, the sequel, Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi's trailer is a proof that comedy can subtle, clean and real!

The previous film had Diana runaway just before she ties the knot with Jimmy. This runaway bride finds herself in Pakistan where she tackles new problems in the most hilarious way. It was all well, but with the sequel it's makers have added more madness to the story with Sonakshi taking the lead. The trailer first reveals that Happy (Sonakshi) has been abducted straight from Amritsar, India to China. She explains that she is Happy but not that one that they're looking for.

"Amritsar me har dusri gali ke tesri ladki ka naam hota hai Harpreet - Happy!"

Jimmy, who is still not over the fact that his bride ran away, also reaches China. He meets with a few Chinese goons who are helping him find his bride. His constant reference to himself as "Tera Bhai" gets you laughing at other's confusion. Coming back as Jimmy sidekick is the seasoned actor Piyush Mishra, who keeps us entertained and Jimmy annoyed with his little quirks and attempts at solving the Happy mystery.

Next up, taking the lead as Sonakshi's love interest is Jassi. He is sweet, charming and a perfect boy-next-door and Sonakshi's one source of comfort and trust in the foreign land. Soon, he encounters Jimmy, who falls in love with Happy once again. The two men get busy fighting over their newest ladylove.

"Aisi koi Gal nahi jo Gill nu samajh na aaye."
"Agar tu Gill hain na, main Sher-Gill hu"

Just when you think how will these characters clear out their mess - welcome aboard - Happy no. 1!

It finally feels like a brighter day in the comedy-scene with Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi. If the trailer has impressed us so much, we wonder what will the movie have in store for us on August 24!
