Shahid Kapoor started the year 2018 with a bang. The actor’s Padmaavat became one of the highest grossing films of all times and brought accolades to the star’s performance too. Soon after the release of the film, the actor signed one good film after the other. He signed Shree Narayan Singh’s social-drama Batti Gul Meter Chalu opposite Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam. The film might have had initial hiccups due to monetary issues but it has finally wrapped up shoot after changing producers and now is all set to release on September 21.

Shahid will also be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy opposite Tara Sutaria. The actor has also signed Airlift director Raja Krishna Menon’s film in which he will be playing the role of a boxer. However, these are not the only good things that are happening in the actor’s professional life. Reportedly, the actor has signed a three-film deal with Zee Studios!

The production house that just released Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter’s Dhadak will work on their projects with the actor in the next few years. It is a multi-crore deal and the studio is backing Shahid in a big way.

However, no deets about the films have been released and we are still waiting for the final announcement about the collaboration that the powerhouse studio and the actor will bring. Meanwhile, on the work front, Shahid’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu will clash with Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, and Vicky Kaushal starrer Manmarziyaan at the box office. Shahid is also looking forward to becoming a father once again as his wife Mira Rajput is due with their second baby in October.
