Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju has struck the right chord with the audience even though the Sanjay Dutt biopic has been questioned for not showing the facts as they were. However, one thing that has resonated with the audience is that the friendship bond shown between Ranbir and Vicky Kaushal. Vicky has walked away with the laurels for his acting and now everyone is vying for a friend like Kamli after watching the film. Now, the filmmakers have given the public one more reason to celebrate the friendship by releasing the song Bhopu Baj Raha Hain.
The song has been sung by Nakash Aziz and has been produced by Sourav Roy. Shekhar Astitwa and Rohan Gokhale have penned the quirky lyrics while the song has been composed by Rohan-Rohan. Bhopu Baj Raha Hain is a complete party number and has peppy beats which can be danced to. The song features Ranbir, Vicky and Karishma Tanna who plays Vicky’s love interest in the film. The song probably follows the scene where Kamli tells Sanju over a phone call that he is traveling to see Pinky who they meet at a wedding.

The dance steps, lyrics, and beats are funny and quirky. However, you get the feeling that Karishma’s character is more interested in Ranbir’s film star persona rather than his friend’s. Also, although Ranbir has kept his Sanjay Dutt mannerisms in place for the most part of the song he is way too good a dancer to showcase the well-known awkwardness of Sanjay on a dance floor. Though Karishma looks lovely in the song and we’re sure that the television actress will soon bag a meaty role in a Bollywood film soon. Interestingly, many thought this song will show Ranbir in Dutt's famous avatar Khalnayak and Karishma as Madhuri! However, there is no such thing.
Rajkumar Hirani revealed on Twitter that Bhopu Baj Raha Hain did not make it to the final film but is a fun foot-tapping song. He had written on Twitter, “A happy fun song which didn’t make it to the film #BhopuBajRahaHain! Out tomorrow at 11 am.” Sanju also stars Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala and Dia Mirza.
