Priyanka Chopra announces her next post Bharat - The Sky Is pink with Shonali Bose

Priyanka Chopra's game plan to have a master come-back in Bollywood seems clear now. After announcing that she'll be first seen in Salman Khan starrer Bharat after her two-year hiatus from the Hindi film industry, the actress has officially announced her next film. Titled The Sky Is Pink, this is the one directed by Shonali Bose, who has earlier helmed films like Margarita With A Straw (2014) and Amu (2005) among others.

This means that the speculations about Priyanka working with Shonali on a film based on a real story were indeed true. The actress posted a picture on her Instagram story revealing that she has started prepping-up for the film. Look at this post:

The movie, as reported earlier, might also feature actors Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. The Sky Is Pink, if the rumours are anything to go by, is a story of Aisha Chaudhary, a teenage motivational speaker from Delhi, who was born with an immune deficiency disorder. As expected, while Zaira is to play Aisha's part, both Priyanka and Farhan will be playing the role of her parents in the film.

The Sky Is Pink will be based on Aisha's book titled My Little Epiphanies. The girl was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 13. However, nothing could deter her spirit of living and she started giving motivational speeches on platforms like TEDx, INK etc. It was only in the year 2015 after inspiring the world with her story that Aisha passed away at the age of 18.

More details on the film are awaited.
