I don't think I've outperformed Ranbir: Vicky Kaushal on his performance in Sanju

With Raazi, Lust Stories, Love Per Square Foot and now, Sanju, 2018 surely seems like Vicky Kaushal's year. The actor is delivering class-apart performances with every project, making him very sound and confident of his work. When he was asked about shadowing Ranbir Kapoor's performance in Sanju, he was quick to dismiss that by saying, " I really don't think so!"

Even previously, Vicky has stated that after seeing Ranbir play Dutt's character, he would never have done it, let alone the question of how. Sharing the same emotion again, Kaushal stated to a leading daily, "I really don’t think so(about outperforming him)! What he did in Sanju is unbelievable. His honesty towards the craft could be seen in his performance. I don’t think we can be compared".

Kaushal also repeatedly mentioned of how lucky he was to be a part of a RajKumar Hirani film and to have shared the space with Kapoor, with their characters closely bound in friendship. "Ranbir is one of the most secure actors that one can come across, and that is even evident in his body of work. I am glad that I got to work with him and would love to collaborate with him again," admitted the young actor who plays the character of Dutt's friend in the movie.

Kaushal plays the character of Dutt's close friend, Paresh Ghelani in the movie. The actor admitted that his character was an amalgamation of approximately three to four of Dutt's real life friends. The audience and critics alike, have praised Vicky's performance in the film.

Workwise, he will also be seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. The actor, as he claims, is in talks for a venture with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
