It's a wrap for first schedule of Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan-starrer Simmba

Ranveer Singh, who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat, is all geared up to collaborate with filmmaker Rohit Shetty for the first time for his upcoming project, Simmba. The film, which is an official remake of the Telugu blockbuster film Temper, also stars the promising newcomer Sara Ali Khan.

Ranveer, who started working on Simmba earlier this year, is currently in Hyderabad to shoot for the film. But now it seems, the actor is on its way to complete the first schedule already. As per a report in a leading daily, “The film’s first schedule has been shot at Ramoji film city in Hyderabad at a blitzkrieg speed, and 35% of the film’s shooting has been completed.”

Apparently, the sequence being shot at the moment will feature Ranveer in his adolescence and will showcase how he falls in love with a simple girl. “This is the last sequence of the first schedule. After this, the first schedule will be wrapped up by the end of this week,” sources inform the daily.

In the film, Ranveer will be seen playing the character of a policeman, with actress Sara will play his love interest. Interestingly, Rohit’s favourite actor Ajay Devgn is supposed to make a cameo appearance in Simmba. He will apparently be seen in the climax scene of the film. In fact, Simmba is touted to be wackier and crazier than the Singham films directed by Shetty.

Produced by Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar, Simmba also stars Sonu Sood in pivotal roles and is slated to release on December 28, 2018.

Besides, Rohit’s Simmba, Ranveer will be next seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy opposite Alia BhattHe will also start shooting for Kapil Dev biopic ’83 which is helmed by Kabir Khan.
