Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is facing some legal trouble. She has been issued a notice from the BMC for unauthorized construction at her Oshiwara office. The actress has rented out the adjoining commercial premises too. BMC said in a statement that they have already received five complaints from people who visited the Charisma Beauty Spa and Salon along with a municipal corporator, alleging that illegal constructions have taken place including an unauthorized mezzanine floor. Apparently, BMC checked and found the violations.
Priyanka’s office which is next door to the spa also had violations and hence BMC has sent two separate notices to owners and occupants of both the premises. The violations found on both the premises are full-height partitions using ply-sheets and glass that are used to making cabins. Unauthorized constructions and mezzanine floor are also some of the violations at the two premises.

The notice asks Priyanka and the renters to remove the alterations and revert to the original structure accounting to the BMC’s sanctioned plan in June 2013, or BMC will resort to demolishing the alterations after a month. However, Priyanka has the option of regularizing some of the constructions after paying a penalty.
A BMC official told a leading daily, “We earlier wrote them asking to regularize the unauthorized changed after paying the penalty and removed other illegal changes which cannot be approved. But they didn’t bother to pay any attention after which we sent them notice under the Maharashtra Regional Town Planning Act (MRTP). If they fail to reply on this, we will demolish the illegal construction at both the premises.”
Meanwhile, Priyanka was just in town with her rumoured boyfriend American singer-songwriter Nick Jonas. Their PDA on social media broke the internet. The couple also attended Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s eldest son Akash Ambani’s pre-engagement party with Shloka Mehta. Priyanka will be next seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat opposite Salman Khan.
