Shahid Kapoor and Shree Narayan Singh to come back with a UP-based thriller post Batti Gul Meter Chalu

Seems like actor Shahid Kapoor has got his hands full of work for next two years. He is currently busy shooting for Shree Narayan Singh's directorial, titled Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The actor will now reportedly reunite with SNS for yet another film after finishing off his projects with filmmakers Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Raja Krishna Menon.

The said new script is said to be based in UP and has story that the director deems as 'never before attempted' one. Confirming the news to a leading daily, Narayan Singh said, "The story is based in the heartland of India. Once the script is ready we will decide when to go on the floors but it will be in 2019 as Shahid has to fulfill all prior commitments as well before starting my film. I can promise that it’s a story no one has attempted before and we are planning it in great detail. Shahid and I are friends now and share a certain comfort level and we luckily found the perfect script".

A source close to the film revealed to the daily that the film is a thriller and its rest of the cast is yet to be locked.

Currently though, both the director and the actor are focusing upon shaping up Batti Gul Meter Chalu the way they both wanted to. The movie also features Yami Gautam and Shraddha Kapoor in pivotal roles and is based on power failure in the country.
