Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao starrer Fanney Khan’s teaser was released today. The film directed by Atul Manjrekar is reportedly the remake of Dutch film Everybody's Famous and addresses issues like body-shaming as part of the story. Fanney Khan is also supposed to highlight the story of a father-daughter relationship. Anil is playing the character of an aspiring musician in the film while Aishwarya plays a pop icon popular with the youngsters and the character performs and dances at a global stage.
A couple of days back Anil released the first poster of the film which shows him holding a trumpet in one hand and a tiffin dabba in another. It appeared that the character is going to take part in a reality show as in one corner the poster features a logo which says: "Taal-N-Talent."

Interestingly, Anil’s debut film Woh Saat Din had him playing the role of a struggling music composer who wants to make it big in the world of Bollywood and the character’s trademark was his harmonium which he used to carry everywhere.

The teaser of the film has been released today which is only 57 seconds long and introduces the main characters. The teaser shows Anil wearing a lungi, sitting on the roof and blowing a trumpet. Aishwarya is shown in her pop icon avatar and needless to say she looks breathtakingly beautiful and believable in her character. Rajkummar is seen in a glimpse where he is supposedly dancing. The teaser also shows black-and-white pictures of late veteran actor Shammi Kapoor and legendary singer Mohammed Rafi. The teaser has a voice over which tries to give the meaning to the popular phrase ‘Fanney Khan’. In the teaser 'Fanney Khan' is described as an artist, a maestro, a singer or someone with whom one enjoys life.
The film is produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Anil Kapoor. It is slated for an August 3, 2018, release.
