Diljit Dosanjh, Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi starrer Soorma’s anthem has released today and the song is immensely inspiring and motivating. The Soorma Anthem is dedicated to all the strong people out there who have overcome great difficulties in life to emerge victorious. Soorma is one of the most anticipated films of the year which is a biopic on the life of Indian Hockey player Sandeep Singh. Sandeep’s life is an inspiration as he overcame a bullet would that left him paralyzed from waist down for two years. He is regarded as one of world’s most dangerous drag flickers and is nicknamed ‘Flicker Singh’ for his drag speed of 145 km/hr.

Diljit plays the role of Sandeep in the film and the Soorma Anthem that was released today is sung by Shankar Mahadevan and composed by the trio Shankar Ehsaan and Loy. The lyrics of the inspiring and motivating song have been penned by Gulzar. The song brings to life the terrible ordeal that Sandeep went through when he was hurt and written off from playing hockey for India.
The song is breathtakingly exhilarating and is in the leagues of Eye of the Tiger from Rocky, Chak De from Chak De! India. The song first shows the difficulties Diljit faces while pleading for help so that he can once again stand on is feet and later shows him training hard with Angad Bedi who instills fresh hope and zeal in him. The Soorma Anthem also shows some footage of Diljit playing hockey and scoring goals for India while essaying the role of Sandeep. The song will become the war cry of all those people who are about to take up grueling challenges and aims to overcome their hardships.
Soorma is directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh and Deepak Singh. The film is slated for a July 13, 2018, release.
