Babies on his brain: Ranveer Singh wants to have his own family

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have always stopped short of uttering those three little words about each other. Their actions, however, have left no doubt that they are smitten. Rumours about their impending wedding have been gathering steam, with the grapevine insisting that they will finally tie the knot on November 10 this year. While some sources claim the wedding will be in Udaipur, others inform that the venue will either be Italy or Bangalore. Deepika’s frequent visits to her hometown and her rounds of jewellery shopping are being taken as further proof of the upcoming nuptials.

While both Ranveer and Deepika refuse to confirm rumours, the former has been sounding a tad more emotional of late. Answering a query about whether he believed in the institution of marriage, he shared, “Yes, very much. It has a lot to do with my upbringing. My grandparents have been married for 60 years and my parents for 35 years or so. I feel like having that special connection, sharing a life, experiences, making memories with that one person who I have a close bond with. I want to have and raise kids; I want to have my own family.”

In April this year, Deepika had echoed Ranveer’s words in an interview. She had declared, “Marriage is an important institution for me. I’ve seen my parents, and it’s the way that I’ve been brought up. When it is the right time, I’ll feel it. It’ll happen when it has to happen.”

She had even discussed working post marriage, saying, “It’s too much a part of my life for me to say I can walk away from work. But I think that home, family, parents, marriage - these things are very important for me. Today I can see myself as a working wife or mother. I think I’d drive everybody around me mad if I didn’t work!”

Now to sit back and wait for those adorable kids to come around, eh, Ranveer!
