I thank everyone who has gone to see Race 3 in the theatres: Salman Khan

Salman Khan’s Race 3 may have been panned by the critics but looks like his fans and the actor are undeterred. Even though the trailer, dialogues and the actual film has received quite a lot of bashing and flak on social media, Salman’s film has become one of the highest earners of 2018 already, having already entered the Rs 100 crore club within three days of its release. Today, the superstar took to social media to show his gratitude to his fans that made the actor’s latest offering one of the highest money-spinners of the year.

The third installment in the popular film franchise started by director-duo Abbas-Mustan features Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah, Anil Kapoor, Saqib Saleem, Freddy Daruwala, besides Salman in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Remo D’Souza and is produced by Ramesh Taurani and Salman. Salman today took to his social media accounts to thanks his fans for making his latest film a hit at the box office.

He shared the same message on his Twitter account as well and as a treat also attached the Race 3 official mashup video with the message. The mashup has all the official songs from the film.

The film released on the occasion of Eid on June 15, 2018, and has collected over Rs 150 crore until now. Going by the pace, the film is all set to cross the Rs 250 crore threshold worldwide. With Race 3 Salman turned distributor and penned lyrics for a song in the film which has also become popular among the audience. Talking about the box office performance Bobby had said, “I am very happy that people have appreciated my work and appreciated everyone’s work. We keep getting criticism. It matters when the film is really bad and if this was so bad, it wouldn’t have worked commercially.” The film might not have made a huge impact on the critics and the elites but the masses have surely lapped up the film.
