Shraddha Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan could be the new pair we love watching

Back in 2015, Kartik Aaryan was awaiting the release of his comedy, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. He shared that he was a huge admirer of actress Shraddha Kapoor and wished to work with the talented actress.

All praise for Shraddha, he gushed that she was one of the best and most versatile talents in Bollywood. “I think Shraddha has done really well for herself and has been part of great films this early in her career, which is a huge achievement. She has worked really hard on her acting, singing and dancing … I would definitely love working with her in a film …I think it would be a lot of fun,” he had declared.

Now, riding high on the success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Kartik could soon be paired opposite Shraddha in filmmaker Dinesh Vijan’s next. Apparently, Dinesh is planning on casting a fresh pair for his second film and has already roped in Kartik for the male lead. The female lead could well be Shraddha, who has attended a story hearing and liked the film but is yet to sign on the dotted line.

Interest in Kartik has been growing in the leaps and bounds after his low profile films that went on to become roaring hits. There is strong buzz that he will also be cast in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film.

Post the thumping success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, apparently, Kartik and Dinesh met several times to discuss various scripts. They finally decided on the current film, which will be a rom-com. It will be directed by Marathi director Laxman Utekar, who is known for his work as DoP (Director of Photography) on films like 102 Not Out, Hindi Medium and Dear Zindagi.

Now the team is awaiting Shraddha’s nod and it could well come soon, given she is already working with Dinesh in his next production, Stree. Shraddha, who will romance the hugely popular Prabhas in Saaho, might soon make a rocking pair with everyone’s fave, Kartik as well.
