Saif Ali Khan promotes Sacred Games on Lorraine Kelly's morning show in the UK

Saif Ali Khan's Netflix original series, Sacred Games, which uncovers the dark underbelly of Mumbai, saw the lead actor promoting his TV show on British talk show, Lorraine, in London. Hosted by Lorraine Kelly, the two discussed Saif's upcoming crime series, son Taimur and Saif's connection to London.

The series which sees politics, crime and passion at crossroads finds its essence in the local streets of Mumbai. Speaking about the same, the actor said, “It’s very cinematic and has a lot of character. Many cities in the West look a little sanitized. There’s different kinds of architecture. India, generally, is a cross between the medieval and the modern. And if you can capture that then it’s a very interesting thing to see in the film.”

Talking about personal life, Saif, who has done his schooling in London, when asked whether his toddler Taimur Ali Khan would study abroad, Saif said, “He’s very popular with the paparazzi in India. To try and keep a level head, I think he’ll pretty soon think he’s someone special. I think I’ll have to try and talk to him about it.”

Speaking about appearing on the show, a source close to the development said, " Saif Ali Khan is one of the most celebrated names in London, so it's no wonder then that the actor was part of the popular morning show with Lorraine Kelly. He also promoted Sacred Games at Claridges, a hot favourite with the biggest Hollywood celebrities, known exclusively for hosting the elite. So far just a handful of international films have been promoted at the venue, Saif becomes the first Indian actor to have promoted his series at Claridges."

ITV's Lorraine is one of UK's popular morning show who have hosted guests such as Tom Hanks, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Idris Elba, One Direction, Kate Winslet, Sir Tom Jones, Priscilla Presley, Russel Brand, Kelly Clarkson, Robbie Williams, Reese Witherspoon and Gerard Butler, amongst others. Saif even went on to become the first Indian actor to promote his streaming series Sacred Games, out of India.
