I'd like to clone myself, says Kajol during Incredibles 2 promotion

Actress Kajol has lent her voice to the character of Helen Parr, Elastigirl, for the Hindi version of Disney Pixar’s Incredibles 2. During a recent media interaction, the actress dished about dubbing for the film, family time and secret superpowers.

Why did you do Incredibles 2?
I am a big fan of superpowers generally, so when the offer came that they wanted me to dub for a Supergirl or Super 'Elastigirl', I was really excited about it. So what if I can't actually get those superpowers? I can at least dub for those who have superpowers.

How was the dubbing process different from acting?
The process is quite normal but I don't like dubbing for myself. It is one of the most painful-boring process ever. Especially when you're dubbing for yourself, it's bad enough but when you're dubbing for someone else, it's worse. But the whole idea about dubbing for Elastigirl was what was so exciting about it. It's like a superpower that you have without doing any physical activity. And I get all the credit for it.

How did your family react to Incredibles 2?
My kids are very excited. They're eagerly waiting for it.

One superpower you wish to have?
I'd love to have eight hands and a brain to match that. I partly have a brain to match that but not completely. So that I can organize my time, my kid's time, social secretary, manage to work out at the same time and take care of everybody and do everything that I'm supposed to do as well. Actually, forget the eight hands, I'd like to clone myself.

What is one thing Ajay is better at than you are when it comes to kids?
I think he is better than me at pampering the kids. I pamper my kids but I have limits. I am very conscious about the rules, the dos and donts.

Lastly, what is the most incredible moment of your life?
I don't know. I hope I am coming to it. My life has been incredible so far. I really like my life. I have worked really hard to make it and make it something that I like, so, maybe that is an incredible part of my life that actually I have worked very hard to make it a life that I like and love.

Since their 2004 release, many fans have been clamouring for an Incredibles sequel but it wasn’t until 2017 during Disney’s 2017 D23 Expo did the makers launch a surprise footage confirming the return.

The film is slated to release in India on June 22 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
