Housefull 4: Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon and others to shoot second schedule in Rajasthan

Sajid Khan will once again don the director’s hat with Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 4. While the first two installments were helmed by him, he was replaced by Sajid-Farhad for the third installment of the franchise.

Now as per a report in a popular daily, the cast and crew will shoot the major portions of Housefull 4 in Rajasthan, unlike the earlier installments which were predominantly shot in London. The report further suggests that the film’s cast — Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Sanjay Dutt, Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Pooja Hegde and Chunky Panday — will travel to the state for their second schedule. The first schedule will kick off in London itself as the film goes on the floors in July.

Meanwhile, the flashback sequences will be shot in Rajasthan, since the film revolves around the theme of reincarnation. A source close to the Sajid Nadiadwala production revealed to the tabloid, “The first schedule is of 25 days and kicks off in mid-July followed by the team moving to Rajasthan to shoot the past-life portions in a month-long schedule. The actors will be seen in a rustic look that is being planned in great detail. The flashbacks are set in a time when India was ruled by kings. A grand set is also being built in Mumbai for the last schedule.”

The source further revealed that apart from Kriti Kharbanda, yesteryear villain Ranjeet is also in talks for the film. Boman Irani too will come on board shortly. The makers are expecting Housefull 4 to be wrapped up by November this year.
