From Vicky Donor to Kaabil and Sarkarr 3, actress Yami Gautam has been a delight to watch every time she came on screen. Yami already has her kitty filled with several films, one of them being Uri. The film is based on the Uri attacks that took place in 2016. In the film, she will be seen portraying the role of an intelligence officer. This is will the first time that Yami will be seen playing a tough cop. And she has left no stone unturned to complete her prep. In fact, she went as far as to give herself a complete physical makeover.
Earlier this week, Yami was spotted stepping outside a salon in the city. Unlike most days, Yami did not strike a pose for the paps. Instead, she moved past them quickly while her hair was covered under a brown scarf. This morning, she revealed her secret through an Instagram post. The actress shared a picture without her long shiny tresses. She has chopped off her luscious locks to opt a blunt-bob cut.
She believes that the short hair was necessary in order to bring her character to life in a more relatable way. With the picture, she wrote, “Make every hair flip count”. Well, we’re surely waiting for the lady to sweep us off her feet every time she flips her hair.
Speaking about her new looks, Yami said, “I was extremely excited when the character needed this specific look for the film. When Aditya discussed it with me, I jumped at the opportunity of making my character more believable. So we did a few trials and then went ahead with it. I am loving my look. I hope audiences love it too"
The hair transformation was done over the weekend when the actress and a team of three hair stylists and the director, Aditya Dhar, worked on how her hair should look in the film. The film is the directorial debut of Aditya Dhar and Yami will be seen opposite the amazing Vicky Kaushal in the film. She is currently also busy with Shree Narayan Singh's social drama Batti Gul Meter Chalu alongside Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
