Ranbir'-Sonam's chemistry in the song 'Badhiya' from Sanju is the cutest thing you'll see today

Ranbir Kapoor is surely raising the bar for everybody and himself with his performance in Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju, which a biopic inspired by Sanjay Dutt's life. The new song from his upcoming released today, where Ranbir is seen lip-syncing to a man and a woman's voice! The peppy number performed by Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan has caught on the essence of the 80's perfectly with the nasal tone and dramatic appeal. With our Sanju lip-syncing to the lyrics and catching every expression as the song proceeds, in turn makes the video visually appealing, funny and quite enjoyable. Cherry to the cake are the romantic moments between the reel-life couple, Sonam and Ranbir.

Ranbir, who's playing Sanju's character, is seen sporting a yesteryear inspired look. The song and the scene is said to be set in the 1980's, which explains retro feel. Ranbir was seen donning a striped tee, a printed bomber jacket, high-waisted parallel pants and long hair. Sonam Kapoor too sports a retro look with the short hair, pop hair tie and dungarees.

The official channel posted brief explanation to explain the essence of the song. They explained, "At the start of Sanju’s career, his father Sunil Dutt doubts his lip-syncing abilities. In order to prove his father wrong, Sanju “sings”. Presenting the first song of the film - “Main Badhiya Tu Bhi Badhiya", featuring Sanju lip-syncing convincingly to a women’s voice. Set in the 1980’s, the song also features the quirky romance between Sanju & his girlfriend (played by Sonam Kapoor). Come, join them on this nostalgic trip as they lip-sync and dance around the romantic streets of Bombay."

Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s upcoming production, Sanju has been the talk of the town lately. With the trailer out, the reviews and buzz keep flowing in; be it from the critics, or the masses.

As shown in the trailer and various posters of the film, Ranbir has gotten into the mannerisms and body language of Baba in an unbelievable way. Apart from Sonam and Ranbir, Sanju also features Paresh Rawal as actor Sunil Dutt, Anushka Sharma as Dutt’s therapist, Manisha Koirala in the role of Nargis Dutt, Vicky Kaushal as Baba’s friend, and Dia Mirza playing Manyata Dutt amongst others.
