That smile. That damned smile.

Maddy, basically, redefined the ‘chocolate boy’ image. Honestly, every bit of us is thankful for that. His appearance in Alaipayuthey (Tamil version of Saathiya) still remains a favourite for all. And that one dialogue where he wins the girl like it was no big deal – still makes us go week in knees. Not that we understand what he’s saying, but HE is saying it and that’s what matters.

The chocolate boy Maddy a.k.a your first REAL crush

You could have been 10 or 12 or whatever when you saw the magical Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein. If you say you did not fall in love with him right then and there, you’re lying. Maybe the internet hit you with the unsolicited realization that his character was actually a stalker. But… the world was innocent back then.

His shine even in a room full of stars!

Be it Guru, Rang De Basanti or Tanu Weds Manu franchise. He wasn’t the central character in these films. But we remember every frame he was in so clearly. In fact, he was the highlight.

The honesty

Be it the stalker Maddy, the handsome Ajay Rathod or the Khadoos Prabhu; Madhavan’s characters have been etched in completely honestly and so we remain hooked to screen unflinchingly.

You know what they say… Men age like Fine Wine.
Maddy is the living proof

After the 90’s, Madhavan was away from the screens from time to time until his big comeback with Saala Khadoos in 2016. We were still ogling at his chocolate boy avatar when he surprised us with the brand new and never-expected-before avatar. Oh boy! Thank heavens for this day.

Wait... we’re not done yet. (PS: We never will be) But if the internet has got one thing unquestionably right - it has to be this #MaddyForDaddy. Remember that one morning when Maddy gave us the cure for our Monday blues, mid-week blues, existential crisis basically, with his after-shower selfie?

We’ll leave you on that note, ladies; while we go back to paying imaginary situations in our heads.
