The production bug has bitten Madhuri Dixit: A Hindi film could be next

It seems like suddenly Madhuri Dixit is ticking off all the must-do’s on her own personal bucket list. During the promotions of Bucket List, she had revealed that acting in a Marathi film was an item on her bucket list. “Doing a Marathi film was on my bucket list. Marathi cinema is in its golden phase. Such good subjects, technically they are so good. It was one of the biggest things on my bucket list that I have crossed out,” said the stunner who had made her debut in Hindi films way back in 1984 with Abodh.

Madhuri also stated that her bucket list is always expanding. “I like taking up challenges and once it ends I take up new challenges, so it never ends,” she declared. Well, she is walking the talk. The original Dhak Dhak girl is producing a film in her mother-tongue, Marathi, titled 15th August. The film is touted to be a slice-of-life comedy. “The film will make you realize that freedom is a gift only you can give yourself,” the stunner explained, about her first Marathi film production. The film’s unit is packed with some of the best talents from both the Hindi and Marathi film industries.

Now that she has ticked off being a producer, she is on to more challenges. “There’s a lot more we have planned and I hope to create a lot more big-screen magic,” she had said. She is apparently doing just that as she plans to now step into Hindi film production. The actress, who will appear on the big screen in two biggies including Abhishek Varman’s Kalank and Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal, is reportedly testing the waters in film production. She is waiting to see how her Marathi production shapes up and fares at the box office. Then she will freeze on a Hindi film project under her banner, which she has already begun discussing with her team.

Knowing the actress and her sensibilities, we predict good things in store.
