Karan Johar and his production house Dharma Productions finally made an official announcement last month on the star cast of their much anticipated film Student of the Year 2. The film’s prequel that launched Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra is now launching two new actresses in its sequel. Tiger Shroff plays the male lead in the film and was confirmed long back, and Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria will be making their Bollywood debut with this film. Today Karan released motion posters of all the three actors on his Instagram account.

Karan released three motion pictures of the lead star cast on his social media account. Although there was nothing new as we had already seen the three actors in the same avatar before when their first look from the film was released. The first poster released by Johar was of Tiger Shroff who can be seen employing his martial arts and dancing skills. Dressed in blue denims, a white T-shirt and denim jacket with a hoodie Tiger looks agile and supple as he does his characteristic somersaultish move.

Karan shared Ananya’s poster with the words, “#6monthstosoty2 presenting ANANYA! Welcoming her to our@dharmamovies family!!!!! Releasing NOV 23rd 2018!!!!” Dressed in black slacks and red-and-white top Ananya looks breathtakingly fresh and probably will essay the role of the cute girl-next-door if you go by the look that she is sporting. She is carrying a bag as well which might depict that she is a little studious compared to the other two.

The third motion poster that karan shared was of Tara Sutaria who is also making her debut with SOTY2. Tara looks the usual stereotypical bombshell babe characteristic of Karan’s movies. She looks as the one who will be causing quite a lot of heartbreaks in SOTY2. However, she does have an awesome screen presence and going by the comments that her poster received it seems as if she has already garnered quite a fan following on social media.

SOTY2 will not be directed by Karan but Punit Malhotra and if rumours are to be believed then the stars of Student of the Year are all set to reunite for a special song for the sequel. Varun, Alia and Sidharth will be matching footsteps with Ananya, Tiger and Tara in the special song. The film Student of the year 2 releases on November 23, 2018.
