Earlier this year, in January a team from the Madam Tussauds Wax Museum flew down to Mumbai to get about two hundred measurements of Bollywood’s loved bubbly actress, Kajol. This wax statue resembling the colour of her eyes and hair is being instituted in the Madam Tussauds Singapore and will be finally unveiled on May 24, 2018.

What makes this unveiling even more special is the fact that Kajol’s daughter Nysa will be joining her at the red carpet event of the museum. The doting mother has always been protective of her kids and has not shied away from accepting that she wants them to stay away from the limelight. This red carpet event will mark Nysa’s first big interaction with the media. However, her husband Ajay Devgn will not be joining them due to prior work commitments.

According to the source of a leading daily, “Kajol is excited to see her statue which will be housed at Madame Tussauds Singapore. This is also a great opportunity for her to spend time with her daughter Nysa who studies in the island city. So, it works out well for both of them.” Kajol’s wax statue will be joining Varun Dhawan’s and Shah Rukh Khan’s statue. Varun, who recently had his wax statue in the museum, came into being after a poll on popularity took place on Twitter. Kajol is also amongst the few female Bollywood celebrities to be immortalized through these works of art.

On the professional front, Kajol is currently filming for her big come back film which is tentatively titled Eela. In the film, she will be playing the role of a single mother who aspires to be a singer. Directed by Pradeep Sarkar (of Mardaani fame), it is said to hit the screens on September 14, 2018.
