Madhuri Dixit's Dil Toh Pagal Hai song used for an 'isspeshal' cause

In praise of this latest Dil Toh Paagal Hai number, Madhuri said, "It fills me with pride that one of my favorite songs with one of my favorite film makers, Yashji, is being used for such a wonderful cause of creating awareness for mental health & disability. My dil IS totally paagal for the incredibly talented kids of the 6 Pack Band 2.0. All my love to them, they're truly isspeshal!"

The song is being rendered by members of the 6 Pack Band 2.0, curated by Shameer Tandon and conceived and produced by Ashish Patil of Y-Films. They are the most talked about band in the country today and it’s because of their special gifts. The 6 immensely talented children of 6 Pack Band 2.0 - six teenagers and young adults each suffering from what the world would call a debilitating disability - have a new surprise for audiences that has got the iconic Madhuri Dixit extremely thrilled. The band has recorded the first ever re-rendering of her cult hit song Dil Toh Pagaal Hai.

The project hopes to affect positive social change through the inspiring and fascinating stories of the six band members.

The iconic track from the film Dil Toh Pagal Hai, which features Madhuri, Shah Rukh Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Akshay Kumar, has been recreated by Tandon with additional lyrics by Kumaar. The new version is a collaboration with singer-composer Vishal Dadlani.

Vishal is the first big musician who has come forward to sing with the immensely talented band members who are breaking societal stereotypes by harnessing and flaunting their outstanding musical abilities. With some new lyrics added to the magical Dil Toh Paagal Hai, the song is hugely meaningful from a societal point of view. Madhuri has loved the concept of the band, the incredible re-rendering of her classic which is serving as a metaphor to how society views specially abled children.

More power to Madhuri and the 6 Pack Band 2.0!
