Make way for a new jodi on the block – Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The powerhouse performers are collaborating for their first film together – Brahmastra. Ever since the inception of this big-budget movie, Ranbir and Alia have been constantly making headlines. While their acting prowess remains unquestioned and unmatched, it is their off-screen camaraderie that has set tongues wagging. Speculations are rife that the two co-stars have warmed up to each other, Alia is taking advice from her self-confessed ‘childhood crush’ Ranbir these days.
In an interview with a leading magazine, Alia was asked if she has made any discovery about Ranbir on the sets in Bulgaria. But nobody expected she would confer him with the title of being the ‘Sonam Kapoor of men’s fashion.’ Here’s her reply, “I always believed that Karan Johar was the Sonam Kapoor of men’s fashion. But now I believe it’s Ranbir Kapoor. He’s a hidden fashionista. In Bulgaria, he was ordering things just for fun. I saw so many new looks. One day he’d arrive in velvet, then one day in camouflage, then some coloured caps and pants... He’s smashing to a point where I’ve begun seeking his advice whether I should buy something or whether something is working or not. I’ve given the fashionista tag to Ranbir Kapoor. I believe Karan will happily give away that tag because he loves him too much,” Alia told the magazine.
It is mention worthy that in the past, Ranbir had himself confessed to being the male version of Sonam. “I may not be the most recognised fashionista. Though I believe I’m the male version of Sonam Kapoor. But nobody recognises that. I guess. I have to put in more effort and be out there for people to recognise the talent in me. I am an absolute epitome of fashion and style. I hope that people get it,” the Rockstar had told the same magazine in an interview.
Workwise, Alia is busy promoting her next release Raazi. Ranbir, on the other hand, is gearing up for the release of Dutt biopic – Sanju.
