Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will soon be seen together on-screen, for the first time ever, in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra. The movie produced by Karan Johar stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir, Alia and Mouni Roy in the lead roles.
For some time now, there has been a buzz that Alia and Ranbir have really got close during the course of the shoot. In fact, as per the grapevine the two share more than a warm friendship.

Alia had spoken about this saying she does not pay heed to such rumours and that she would very much like to keep her personal life, personal.
During a recent interview Alia was all praises for Ranbir. She mentioned that Ranbir is a very PURE person and that she and the junior Kapoor have many weird similarities.
She said, “I’ve gotten to know him in the last couple of months since we began work on Brahmastra. I’ve interacted a lot with him personally. But what I genuinely love about him is that he’s all heart. He’s a very very pure and simple person. There’s no fuss and that same simplicity translates in him as an actor as well. That’s why you can always see through him and see into his eyes. That’s why he’s got that effect on you. He’s simple. He’s not trying to emote or express. Ya, that’s what I like most about Mr Ranbir Kapoor. What I do not like about him? I don’t dislike anything about him as of now.”
She added, “Yes and no. Some weird and random things are similar between us. Like he has a fixation for number 8. And so do I. We discovered that when we started prepping for the film. I mentioned my email ID and he asked why it had ‘08’. I said I just like the number 8. He said so do I. But he’s his own person. He’s a Libran and I’m a Piscean, two distinct star signs. I’m sure there are differences. But on set, we’re similar.”
