The star, who has been shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, is having himself a cool break away from sweltering Mumbai. He is enjoying a well-deserved vacation in the Lake Geneva region of Switzerland and is pretty much on top of the world.
Fans have been going gaga over the recent picture he posted on social media captioning it, “Switzerland, I’ve missed you…..#inLOVEwithSWITZERLAND #montreuxpalace #fairmonthotels #MyVaud @MySwitzerlandIN @regionduleman.”
The actor is pretty much in love with the beautiful land of mountains as he declared, “Switzerland… It’s my kind of country! No matter how many times you visit, there’s always something new to explore. This time around I am visiting the Lake Geneva region… This part of Switzerland is quite a hidden gem that I can’t wait to discover.”
What’s on the agenda? In Ranveer’s own words, it’s “Gorging on some amazing food and as always letting my hair down and having some fun under the Swiss sun.”

The love is being reciprocated in ample measure. We learn that Switzerland is giving Ranveer a special honour. A train in the country is being named after him, called the Ranveer On Tour.
Not surprisingly, he is the only young star Swiss Tourism has chosen to name a train after. Sources reveal that Ranveer Singh has a huge fan following in Switzerland. As he is the brand ambassador of Swiss Tourism, they wanted to celebrate his global success story by naming a train after him.
The train will be inaugurated by Ranveer on April 30. It will traverse the gorgeous Golden Line to the Swiss Alps. All that would be needed to make this holiday picture perfect would be his darling girl Deepika by his side!
