Tennis champion Sania Mirza shared some very exciting news on her Instagram handle today. She revealed that she and hubby - Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik - are all set to become parents for the first time.
That's right! Sania wrote on Twitter, "We are soon to become parents. Having thought about it for a while, we both felt right now is the correct time to start a family."

Isn't that adorable? "When we found out, we were ecstatic and couldn't wait to give out this news to our fans and well-wishers. We are very excited to enter this new phase of our lives and look forward to our journey as parents," she added.

The high profile couple celebrated their eighth marriage anniversary on April 12.
Sania's dad Imran is thrilled for his daughter. Confirming the news he said, "Yes, it's true. They are expecting their first child and the baby is due in October."
Sania, who had attended the Goa Fest 2018 recently, had revealed, "Today I will tell you a secret. My husband and I have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza-Malik as a surname and not just Malik. So that's where we stand as a family including my husband. He actually wants a daughter."
To-be dad Shoaib is ecstatic. He said, ""We have been thinking about it for a while and look forward to our journey as parents InshaAllah .. when we found out we were ecstatic, needless to say, our families are overwhelmed and super happy and we wanted to share this amazing news with all our fans and well-wishers."
