Shahid Kapoor calls Mira Rajput’s pregnancy announcement on Instagram a spontaneous decision

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput are on cloud nine now that they are going to become parents for the second time. The couple has an elder daughter, Misha and will be welcoming their second child this year. Shahid and Mira took to Instagram to announce the pregnancy in the most adorable way possible. They shared a photo of their daughter posing next to chalk-filled balloons with ‘Big Sister’ written on the background in large font.

Last night, during an awards show, where Shahid was felicitated he spoke at length about the pregnancy and the announcement. When he was asked about his feelings to become a father again, he said, “Yes, of course. I'm very happy. We just felt like sharing it with everybody. Mira said she wanted to put it out on Instagram and I thought the photograph was really cute. It was a spontaneous decision and it just happened."

Shahid and Mira had reportedly gone on record to state that they wanted to expand their family and they are already planning for a second child. In an interview, Mira was quizzed when and whether she would like to embark on a professional career, she had said that she has no deadline as such, “because I am going to have another baby, and then decide."

Shahid had also said recently, “Mira, who is just 22, would prefer to have a second kid soon as well. She wants to flip the norm, get the kids to a certain age and then be free to do what she likes." Shahid had also said that he wants to be a very hands-on dad. He had said previously about expanding his family, “I don't want to speak too much about it, maybe one or two babies will happen. Some of it has to be private. I want to soak it in and I want to be there. I have heard star kids complain that their parents were not there much in their childhood. I do not want to be that guy."
