TIME’s 100 Most Influential People List: Priyanka Chopra calls Meghan Markle a princess for the people

Meghan Markle and Priyanka Chopra have emerged as BFFs for some time now. The fact that our very own PeeCee never shies away from praising Meghan in interviews and talk shows it further cements the fact that she might be one of the esteemed guest to be invited for the Royal wedding of Markle and Prince Harry on May 19, 2018. However, we are not sure whether she will be one of the bridesmaids or just a guest at the wedding, but you never know!

Meghan made it to the TIME’s 100 Most Influential People list for 2018 and her note was written by none other than Priyanka herself. She wrote that with Meghan what you see is real and she will be a princess for the people.

Here's the entire note written by Priyanka for the Suits actor:

“Somewhere among biryani, poutine and endless conversations, I realised just how deeply Meghan Markle cares for the world. With her, what you see is real, and what you get is a relatable young woman with her heart and mind in the right place. Her compassion, evident in the causes she supports, and her drive to break down stereotypes—obvious in her actions—will connect her to a generation in much need of kindness."

She further wrote, “This ever-smiling, strong free spirit found her prince, fell in love and in turn made a cynical world believe in fairy tales again. But more than anything else, Meghan is an important influencer in a world that needs strong public figures to respect and look up to. People the world can be inspired by. Meghan, standing shoulder to shoulder with Harry, will be a princess for the people. Love always, my friend. Live happily ever after.”

It is genuinely very heartwarming to see the two actresses sharing such a bond of camaraderie, friendship and belief in each other. Meghan made it to the list along with fiancé Prince Harry whose testimony was written by Elton John. Priyanka also took to Twitter to congratulate Deepika Padukone and Virat Kohli who also made it to the list.
