Ishaan Khatter steps into Prabhu Dheva’s shoes, dances to Muqabla

Ishan Khatter, Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother is all set to make his debut on the silver screen with Beyond The Clouds next week, and the movie has already created quite a buzz through its trailer. The young actor who is also a superb dancer will be seen shaking a leg in the movie and trying to recreate Parbhu Dheva’s iconic track Muqabla from Humse Hai Muqabla.

The actor today shared a teaser video on his Instagram page where he is seen trying to recreate the iconic song through shadow dancing technique. He captioned the video as, “Relive the unforgettable rhythm of #Muqabla, out now. #beyondtheclouds #MajidMajidi@btcthefilm @malavikamohanan_@arrahman @zeestudiosofficial@namahpictures.”

A source revealed, “As part of a certain scene in the film, Ishaan's character Amir is supposed to turn on a song and put up a little dance act. Ishaan is seen freestyling to the original track but in a shadow dance visual. True to form, Ishaan is unbelievable in that scene and will definitely make people stand up and take notice. He has already wowed audiences with his dancing skills at the launch of the song Ey Chote Motor Chala and with this, he is going to be given his well-deserved star title."

As reported in the media, when Ishaan was quizzed about the iconic song, he said, “I have to admit that this was a very happy fateful coincidence for me. While shooting the scene, Mr. Majidi asked me to play any song I felt like at the time that would help elevate the moment. When I hit the play button on my music player, Muqabala started. He absolutely loved it and asked me to take my shot and it all just magically happened. This song is in no way a new rendition or version of the song. It is very much the killer original track."

Beyond the Clouds is directed by Oscar-nominated Iranian director Majid Majidi, while music is by AR Rahman. Beyond the Clouds is slated to release worldwide on April 20, 2018. Ishaan will also be seen opposite Sridevi’s elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor in Karan Johar’s Dhadak which is a remake of popular Marathi film Sairat.
