It was good news indeed when choreographer-turned-director Remo D’Souza announced a dance film with Varun Dhawan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. This pair does not happen to be just gorgeous but also renowned for their fab dancing skills. The team had released an announcement video, ‘The Gang Is Back’, adding that Prabhu Dheva, who has played mentor in ABCD and ABCD 2 was part of the film.
The Kat-Varun starrer is apparently part of the ABCD franchise though it might not be titled ABCD 3, as the earlier two films in the franchise had been produced by UTV Motion Pictures, while T-Series has come on board for the Varun and Katrina starrer. What’s in a name, however, and this sequel too will treat Indian audiences to an awe-inspiring dance fest. While Varun is sure to knock our socks off, we will also have our eyes peeled for Katrina’s moves…

The statuesque beauty is apparently training in a particular traditional folk dance form for the film. This is a first for her as despite featuring in some highly popular dance sequences, she has never been seen performing a folk dance before. Even as she shoots for Thugs of Hindostan, in which we know she features in two big dance acts, she is brushing up on the traditional moves for her upcoming dance flick.
The film will also see Varun spring some jaw-dropping surprises on us. He will train in different dance styles for this Remo D’Souza film and is sure to raise the bar higher than ever. There is also buzz that Salman will play a cameo in this Varun-Katrina starrer.
Pegged to be India’s biggest dance film, the film will go on the floors later this year and release on November 8, 2019.
Remo is naturally over the moon about directing his lead pair, who have proved their versatility as dancers. And the feeling is apparently mutual. Varun has been raving, “It’s a huge achievement to work with Remo on what’s going to be India’s biggest dance film. I performed once in New York with Katrina and it was electric. She’s going to bring her ‘A’ game, so I need to get back in shape as well.”
