Wah Bhai! Now Salman will debut as lyricist in Race 3

Is there no end to the surprises that Salman Khan will keep springing on us! News floats in that the mega-star, who is shooting for the final schedule of Ramesh Taurani’s Race 3 in Abu Dhabi, has a special li’l surprise in store… He will be debuting as lyricist for this action-thriller! Apparently, Salman is writing the lyrics for a romantic track for Race 3, which will be picturized in the UAE as well.

And he did it in style too… The story goes that when the Race 3 team was scouting for a song to match a romantic sequence in the film, Salman casually shared that he had already written one! Not surprisingly, when he read out the words of the song, everyone loved it.
Now Vishal Mishra has composed the music for it, and it will be picturized on Salman with director Remo D’souza also choreographing it.

Race 3 producer Ramesh Taurani is mighty thrilled with his leading man’s feat. “It’s a lovely romantic track, exactly what we were looking for. This is the first time Salman’s name will appear in the credits as a lyricist,” he states. In the past, Salman has also made his debut as a singer for some his films. From ‘Jumme ki raat hai…’ to ‘Main hoon hero tera…’ his warbling has not exactly been a surprise.

Yesterday, the actor released a teaser video from Race 3 a full three months before the film’s release. He posted the short clip on Twitter, writing: "3 Months to go..." while also tagging his production company and the film's co-stars. In the clip, the superstar is heard saying, “On your mark. Get set. Ready. Go,” followed by the signature tune of the Race film franchise and the screeching of cars. We can hear the sound of the cash clinking in already, such is Bhai’s popularity at the box office!

Race 3, with Salman in the lead, is a multi-starrer with Salman, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem and Anil Kapoor essaying key roles. The film will hit the theatres on Eid, June 15.

A last schedule of the shooting remains at a Mumbai studio, after the Race 3 returns from Abu Dhabi.
